Making a submission to the UK Living Heritage Inventory.

Submissions can only be made by the communities of practitioners themselves, the people actually doing it. Submissions cannot be made by some faceless institution. But practitioners themselves are not necessarily set up to do their own representation. Thatchers might not believe that theirs is ‘cultural heritage’ at all and may not have the admin skills to do the paperwork and create a submission. Yet at the same time they may be struggling to find new apprentices to carry on their skills and trade.

Therefore, to help ICH communities navigate the submission process, DCMS have established eleven Community Support Hubs:
