Who we are

Dr Nick Fox OBE wrote the original international submission to UNESCO for Falconry, now inscribed for 24 countries.

He is a livestock farmer based in west Wales but also running farms in Wiltshire and Northumberland.

He has 51 years’ experience in wildlife science running projects from the Siberian Arctic to New Zealand. Consultant to the Hawk Board on legislation in UK and internationally.

Author of five books, three on falconry, one on Arabic wildlife management and one on Hunting Ethics. Producer of 10 educational films on raptor management.  Master of the Northumberland Crow Falcons for 35 years, hawking on horses.  Practitioner covering falconry, farming, conservation, farriery, saddlery, shooting, fishing, boats, horses, working dogs, event organisation including Festivals, Field Meets, Conferences and Races. 

He is Chairman of the Falconry Heritage Trust and of the British Falcon Racing Association and Vice-President of the British Falconers’ Club.

Anna Ernsting is current Secretary for the Woolaston and Leadon Vale Bassets, past MH and Secretary of Ross Harriers. Admin for Hunting Kind. 

Previously worked in Medical Research specialising in oncology and medical ethics.

Chairperson and presenter at Training Conferences for Ethics Committees at Cambridge University on behalf of Centre for Philosophy and Healthcare University of Wales. Author for DOH Briefing Pack for Ethics Committee Members.
