What’s the point?
The UK is now inviting submissions for national Lists of Living Heritage, for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
This site is to help you compile your submission. We tend to think of ‘Culture’ as theatre, art, ballet and so on. But all the things that we do, and have done for generations, in the countryside are also culture.
You may not think of sheep dog trialling as ‘Culture’ but it is. It is part of our Intangible Cultural Heritage, eligible for Inscription by UNESCO under the 2003 Convention.
